Family Day:  African American Pioneers in Aviation and Space

Saturday.  Each February, the Museum celebrates the significant contributions African Americans have made to flight and space exploration despite the overwhelming obstacles they had to overcome. Enjoy presentations, hands-on activities, and stories. Learn about African American astronauts, pilots, and scientists of the past and present and their accomplishments.

Introduction to Adobe Illustrator

Saturday.  Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe Illustrator, the industry-standard vector graphics software, used by designers and illustrators who want to create digital graphics, logos, illustrations, and original typography. This workshop is designed to get you up and running with Adobe Illustrator in just one day. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading students through the most important tools and concepts in Illustrator.

Digital Marketing Bootcamp

Saturday.  This interactive, activity-driven class will enable you to reach and engage your audience in your organizational space. You will then identify how to track and drive them toward relevant conversion points and KPIs.

Cooking Up History: Food and the Great Migration

Saturday.  This free monthly cooking series at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History features a guest chef and Smithsonian Food History host Jessica Carbone preparing a meal and discussing the history behind the ingredients. For this month’s event, Jerome Grant from the National Museum of African American History and Culture joins to cook up dishes that signify the culinary changes that came about due to the Great Migration of African Americans in the early to mid-20th century.

Silent Disco Saturday
